Jr High Wrestling: Wrestling isn’t only for boys! Women's wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports at the scholastic and collegiate levels many colleges are now offering wrestling scholarships to women as well! Some of the benefits of wrestling include: • Develops athleticism • Promotes personal responsibility • Develops mental and emotional resilience • Teaches about nutrition and weight management • Develops leadership skills • Teaches discipline and accountability *In addition to the benefits above, it should also be noted that many college football coaches prefer recruiting wrestlers. 22-23 PTA Reflections Program
National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade: Primary (Pre-K - Grade 2), Intermediate (Grades 3-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), High School (Grades 9-12), Special Artist (All grades welcome).*
Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

The 6:10pm activity bus will start back up on Monday Sept 12th. There will be one bus running at this time.
In order for students to ride the after school activity shuttle/bus, they must have the parent consent form on file at school and must be enrolled in a current after school activity or sport.
Students must sign up for the activity bus no later than 11:00AM each day you will ride the bus or you will not be able to ride after school activity transportation.

The waivers from the USDA that allowed schools to offer all students breakfast and lunch at no cost have expired and were not renewed. Please see the NEWS section of the district website for information on how to apply for free/reduced meals for your students for this upcoming school year. There is a deadline for these applications, so please do not delay in filling them out for your students.
