Lunch Prices & Payment Options
The Jim Thorpe Area S.D. has been accepted into the Community Enrollment Program (CEP) which allows the district to offer free breakfast and lunch to all of our students regardless of economic status. To receive the free breakfast and lunch, students must take the required components for it to be considered a reimbursable meal. Please see the "Offer vs. Serve" documents to understand what is considered a reimbursable meal. IF ALL COMPONENTS ARE NOT TAKEN, THE STUDENT WILL BE CHARGED A LA CARTE PRICES FOR THE ITEMS THEY TAKE.
Pricing for ALL district buildings:
Student Lunch: Free to all students!
Adult Lunch: $4.75
Student Breakfast: Free to all students!
Adult Breakfast: $2.50
A-LA-CARTE items
As in previous years, students will have the option to buy items individually if they want extra food beyond the regular lunch items.
Students must have money in their accounts for them to buy any a-la-carte items.
Please see the SchoolCafe information to place money in your student's account for these purchases.
Cashless Transactions
Cash deposits will not be accepted by the cashier.
Funds may be added to cafeteria accounts in the following ways:
Online at https://www.schoolcafe.com/jtasd
(Please note there is a $2.25 convenience fee associated with this option)
Cash or check made payable to “JTASD Cafeteria Fund” in an envelope clearly labeled with your student's first and last name and their student ID number.
The labeled envelope may then be handed to a Food Service team member at breakfast.
Elementary students may hand the envelope to their teacher.
Cash or check that is not in a labeled envelope will not be accepted.
