AAA Safety Patrol Program
Advisor: Mrs. Kunkel

In the very beginning of the year students in sixth grade may sign up to be a School Safety Patrol. These students help with walking students to the bus and bus dismissal as well as enforcing hallway rules. We hope they serve as good models for younger students who look up to them. We look at a students’ grades and ability to follow our school’s behavior expectations. L.B. Morris has had this program at our school for over 25 years. If you have any questions email Mrs. Kunkel.

L.B. Morris Peer Tutors
Advisor: Mrs. Kunkel

The L.B. Morris School has a cross-age peer tutor program. The goal of this program is to provide academic and social interventions for those students who have been identified by their teachers as needing extra support. We want our students to perform more successfully in their classrooms. Peet tutors may pre-read or reread material to a student, review words, review math facts, or study spelling words. Usually students in grades K-3 are tutored and students in grades 5-8 are the tutors. Our tutors work with the students for approx. 20 minutes per day. We hope to increase student engagement, promote communication and increase social skills. If you have any questions email Mrs. Kunkel.

Student Council (Grades 7-8)

Student Council is a group of students who represent the school and should be a democratic forum where students can address school-related topics. They serve as a go-between for administration and students to try and increase communication and do what they can to better the school.

These students should be trustworthy individuals who have the best interest of the school and the community at heart. In addition to dealing with school-related issues, a student council also does service in the community. They find ways to try and make not only the school, but the entire community, a better place to be.
