Sealed Bids, for a single prime contract, for Jim Thorpe Area High School Stadium - Field Improvements will be received by Jim Thorpe Area School District (Owner), to the attention of Ms. Barbara Conway, Superintendent, at the District Administration Office, 410 Center Avenue, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 until 3:00 p.m., local prevailing time, on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at which time and place all bids received will be publicly opened and read.

A non-mandatory Prebid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, in the Large Group Instruction Room (LGI) at the Jim Thorpe Area High School, 1 Olympian Way, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229. Bidders shall include the information from the pre-bid conference and site inspection in the preparation of their bids. When arriving, all visitors are required to announce themselves at the High School main office and to comply with sign-in and identification procedures established by the School District.

Notice is hereby given that this construction project for which bids are being solicited constitutes public work and is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as amended and supplemented, and minimum wage rates issued thereunder.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive, at its discretion, any or all irregularities, mistakes, omissions, or informalities relative thereto.
